Eileen Avenue
A heritage Spanish home rebuilt to last
This project began with a clear intent: restore a 1940 View Park home without erasing the character that made it worth preserving.
View Park is one of the most architecturally distinctive neighborhoods in Los Angeles, and a home of this era carries its history in its proportions and its presence on the street.
Revival approached the work as stewardship rather than reinvention, bringing the home fully up to current standards across its 1,633 square feet while keeping its original identity intact.
The renovation began with a complete assessment of the home's condition.
The electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems were rebuilt entirely, so the rest of the work could proceed on a dependable foundation.
With the infrastructure addressed, attention shifted to the interior, where an open floor plan connects the kitchen, family room, and living areas while keeping defined zones for daily use.
The original brick fireplace was preserved and now anchors the living space, and an arched plaster niche frames the kitchen range, carrying the home's character into a working part of the house.
Four bedrooms and three baths sit on a single main floor, with the primary suite set in a quiet corner of the home.
Materials were selected for durability, cohesion, and longevity.
The kitchen pairs deep green cabinetry with light stone countertops and a gas range set into the arched niche, balanced by wood flooring that carries through the main spaces.
Bathrooms carry walnut vanities, marble counters, patterned tile floors, and double sinks in the primary, with warm metal fixtures used consistently across the home.
Each finish was chosen to age well and to support the architecture rather than compete with it.
The work was managed carefully from start to finish. Clear scopes, trusted partners, and consistent on-site oversight kept quality standards high through to completion, reflecting Revival's strength in disciplined execution.
The home lives today as a complete and dependable residence.
Light moves easily through the open main spaces, the bedrooms flex for family, guests, or a home office, and the 6,117 square foot lot extends the home outdoors with a pergola, wooden deck, and private patio.
Eileen Avenue reflects Revival's design-led, stewardship-driven approach: a 1940 View Park home brought fully up to speed without losing what made it worth restoring, carrying its history forward with integrity.
